Your role as a Junior Mechanic, under supervision :
- Assist in the investigation of the cause of failures and verify the operation of machinery for defects and failures.
- Assist in determining the nature of defects and failures, using computerized control equipment and other test equipment, to specify the extent of repairs to be performed.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure that it is working properly and that repairs are in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements.
- Clean and lubricate equipment and perform other routine maintenance.
- Complete the required training.
As an ideal candidate :
- Have or be in the process of obtaining a DEP in agricultural mechanics, in a related field or experience deemed equivalent
- Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic knowledge
- Strong analytical skills and good manual dexterity
- A valid driver’s license to work on the road
